Clan Gordon Pipers in Old Town Park September 8, 4pm

Clan Gordon Pipe Band will regale us with drums and Scottish pipes on Saturday September 8. We'll gather in Old Town Park at the end of Pioneer Day at Job Carr Cabin Museum. The pipers start up at 4pm.

The Clan Gordon Pipe Band was formed In 1955 when a group of Scottish immigrants and Americans pooled their experience, and, with the sponsorship of Clan Gordon, formed the Clan Gordon Pipe Band in Tacoma, Washington. ​The first Pipe Major was Johnnie Montgomery, father of longtime member, Jack Montgomery. Even though Clan Gordon is no longer their sponsor, they retain the original name. 
The Clan Gordon Pipers play the music of the highland bagpipe throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Bring a blanket or beach chair and picnic makings, or purchase food and beverage from local eateries.
