Classical Tuesdays in Old Town looks forward to featuring the Camas Woodwind Quintet and saxophonist Erik Steighner on the closing concert of this, our 13th season, Tuesday February 13 in Slavonian Hall in Old Town Tacoma. All the performers teach on the music faculty at Pacific Lutheran University; clarinetist Craig Rine and saxophonist Erik Steighner have performed for Classical Tuesdays on previous concerts.
The program includes Barber's
Summer Music, Milhaud's Chimney of King Rene (charming,
Renaissance-inspired work), an arrangement of the Bartok's Roumanian
Dances, the Sextet by Dubois (with Erik Steighner on sax), and a reed
trio by Auric.
